The Insta360 ONE RS Twin Edition Camera is one of the key configurations of the modular ONE RS action camera system. The Twin Edition includes the Core module, 4K Boost Mod, the 360 Mod, and the necessary Battery Base that holds the modules together. When assembled with the 4K Boost Lens, the ONE RS can shoot 4K60 wide-angle action video and 48MP photos. With the 360 Lens, the ONE RS can shoot 5.7K 360° footage with creative effects like the Invisible Selfie Stick and 360° reframing. Both lenses have FlowState stabilization and Horizon Lock. A 1" wide-angle lens, which captures 5.3K resolution video, is also available separately and can be swapped in.

The ONE RS features 21% more battery capacity than the ONE R, and it also features crisper audio with three microphones and faster Wi-Fi transfers. The Core module, which is the brain, and any other module of your choice, are mounted side by side on the Battery Base. A 1" Wide Angle Mod, which captures 5.3K resolution video, is also available separately and can be swapped in. Also included is a quick release mounting frame with a windproof cover and a heat-dissipating design. The ONE RS system is designed to be waterproof and can be used underwater up to 16'.

The Core module has a touchscreen live-view display and controls. When used with the 4K Boost Mod, the live-view screen can be set up as front- or rear-facing. The Core module's live screen can be swiped in all directions to see your shot from all angles and get a full 360° preview. The ONE RS app is provided as a free download for iOS and Android. One of its key features is a set of intuitive auto-editing functions, including for 360 content.

Note: The different modules are waterproof only after being fully assembled on the Battery Base and installed in the included Mounting Frame.

  1. What’s the working temperature range of ONE RS?
    The working temperature of ONE RS is -4 to 104°F (-20 to 40°C). Please also note that in low-temperature environments (below 32°F or 0°C) the battery life may be affected.
  2. Is ONE RS waterproof?
    1. ONE RS is waterproof only after being fully assembled and installed in the Mounting Bracket (Be sure the Lens and Core have been firmly connected and that the battery buckle has snapped into place). NOTE: The individual camera Lens, Core and Battery Base are NOT waterproof on their own.
    Press the Lens, Core and Battery Base together until they firmly connect (Ensure that the battery buckle has snapped into place on the left side. The yellow indication mark near the buckle should be covered.)
    2. Always ensure ONE RS is dry and clean before closing the lock cover. When using it in or around water, dirt or sand, make sure that the lock cover is closed completely, or waterproofing may be compromised (a. Before closing the lock cover, push the connection cable of the lock cover back into the cable slot, taking care not to bend the cable. b. Align the circular indication marks as shown on the left. The yellow indication mark near the lock buckle should be covered).
    3. When using ONE RS in water, please lock the touch screen to avoid accidental presses. After locking the touch screen, you can use the Power Button to change modes.
    4. After every use in water, open the Mounting Bracket, take out ONE RS, clean and dry ONE RS with a soft cloth before pulling all modules apart. Without properly drying ONE RS, water droplets could remain and damage the camera.
    Note: If using in salt water, gently rinse ONE RS with fresh water first before drying; soak the Mounting Bracket in fresh water for at least 60 minutes and rinse it with fresh water before drying.
    5. To disassemble ONE RS after use in water, follow the instructions below. Ensure ONE RS is fully dry before disassembling.
    1: Push the battery buckle and pull the Battery Base off horizontally.
    2: Pull the Core and the Lens apart horizontally.
    IMPORTANT: When disassembling ONE RS after underwater use, if you see that some water remains on the interior surfaces of the individual components, this is normal and you should wipe these surfaces with a dry cloth before storage or continued use ( The waterproofing of ONE RS relies primarily on the use of targeted protective barriers directly surrounding metal connectors).
    6. Applying strong vibrations, shocks or pressure to the product may compromise waterproofing performance.
  3. What type of memory card should I use with ONE RS?
    Please use exFAT formatted microSD cards with the UHS-I bus interface and Video Speed Class V30 rating (exactly this class, neither higher or lower) to ensure normal recording. If your microSD card doesn’t fit the requirements, your footage may be interrupted or damaged.
    Note: Please do not use UHS-II, UHS-III Micro SD/TF cards or memory cards larger than 1TB. These cards are not compatible with ONE RS and may cause your recording to fail.
  4. What phone specs are required for the ONE RS Core’s faster WiFi speed? Is there any difference when it comes to iOS and Android systems?
    Phones with the 802.11ac WiFi will be able to achieve the faster WiFi speed. There's no difference when it comes to iOS and Android phones.
  5. Which external microphones are compatible with ONE RS?
    ONE RS can connect to compatible external microphones via Bluetooth or the official Mic Adapter. The following devices have been tested to be compatible with ONE RS:

  6. Is the vertical battery base for the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Lens and the ONE R/ONE RS vertical battery base the same? Can they be used universally?
    No, the two batteries are different. The Vertical Battery Base for the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition is specifically designed to fit the Mounting Bracket for the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Lens and has a capacity of 1360mAh. The ONE RS/R Vertical Battery Base is designed to fit the Dive Case for 360 Lens and has a capacity of 1190mAh.
  7. Is the battery life of the ONE RS battery longer than the ONE R battery?
    The new 1445mAh ONE RS battery has 21% more capacity than the ONE R. This increase in capacity is needed to power the new ONE RS core. Our tests have not shown a significant increase in the battery life of the ONE RS camera. For longer battery life, we recommend the Boosted Battery Base.
  8. Can I use the ONE R/ONE RS horizontal Battery Base with the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Lens?
    Sorry, the 1-Inch 360 Lens must be assembled vertically with the ONE RS Vertical Battery Base.
  9. Can I use the ONE RS Core with my existing lenses and mods?
    Yes, you can use your ONE R lenses with the ONE RS Core. You can enjoy all the benefits of the new Core, including a new processor, improved in-camera FlowState image stabilization, 50% faster WiFi transfers, improved audio, Instant Zoom and the Quick menu. When used with a wide-angle lens, you can also shoot 4K 60fps under FlowState mode. For optimal performance, we recommend to use the ONE RS Core together with ONE RS battery and ONE RS Mounting Bracket.
  10. How can I charge ONE RS?
    There are two ways to charge your ONE RS:

    When the camera is assembled, use the 5V 2A adapter and official charging cable to charge the camera directly. It takes around 70 minutes to fully charge a single ONE RS Battery Base.
    Using the Fast Charge Hub, charge the Battery Base with the official 9V 2A adapter. It takes around 50minutes to fully charge a single ONE RS Battery Bases.

So far okay naman sya. At sana tumagal. The only thing that I don't like about is it's so hard to find an original dive case for this camera. I wish na magkaroon ulit kayo hehe. Pero okay yung insta360 one RS twin edition.

I have had 2 weekend rides with the Insta360 ONE RS Twin and its a very big difference in video quality and captured view. Get this if you don't have an existing action camera - you'll get to enjoy the best of both 4K and 360 video in one device.

Insta 360 RS After a Week

I used the Insta 360 RS for a week in Bohol, Philippines. For the most part it functioned as expected both the single lens and 360 lens gave really nice videos. The Insta360 mobile app was also very useful in teaching me creative new ways to take video as well as the built in AI editing. Athough it would have been nice to be able to have a monopod shutter button and better usability when it was inside its case. Overall it was a very good purchase.
